Anthro Hands by coffinberry Anthro Hands by coffinberry
Please note that these are strictly my own opinion when it comes to the types of hands/paws They were done with 4 fingers for sake of being lazy.

Part of my AE Class. IDK if this is in the right category.

Very few species actualy have four digit paws...but my fursona is a species that actualy does only have four digit paws...she's a meerkat. I usualy just use my own hand for reference and leave off the last finger but that isn't as easy as it sounds. Thanks for doing this!

Oh, I'm not alone drawing my anthros without tails and humanoid hands and feet?! :D Awesome! And I always give them human finger nails, too.

I use the second one..I still don't understand how a feral hand can grasp things with such short fingers but I've seen it a lot and it works. But still these are very detailed and helpful! Even if they do have only four fingers, but most of mine have four fingers anyway :)

Hmm, this will help me draw four fingered hands better (for some reason I have an easier time with 5, but gave my characters 4 and it's always causing me grief!)

Thankyou!

I already drew chars with human and amalgamate hands... So far, haven`t got the chance (or the idea) to do a feral one.

By this guideline, it seems that the mice brothers are a combination of all three categories. :)

If you visit dictionary.com and or just click this this [link] and then click the little speaker symbol next to the word it'll tell you how to say it. (I'm pretty sure you've been saying it right)

Is there any standard when it comes to hands and feet? I always like it when anthro artists use the five-finger/ten-toe human model, but this is not the norm, is it?

There's never a standard. It's all up to you - this is just what I was using as a sample. Many cartoonists use the 4 fingers because it is easier to draw and animate.

I never thought about that. It does make sense when I think about it, but I still prefer the human model. I don't know why, I just find it much more easy to relate to the characters if they look enough like me.

At first I thought you were thinking about changing your style, and I didn't want that to happen, so I'm glad that this was all for your class. I like your tailless, humanoid anthros; I think it works. It's unique.
