I would say they were some sort of wild dogs. But thats just because its pounded into my head!

Then again, if you were to give them long pink tails, a rat would be my guess. Or, honestly, continue without the tails and one would be safe to assume they are bats! Thats what I thought when I first saw them!

hm.. depend on the characters.

For you more 'sexy' type characters, maybe like an elegant fox or feline type. But for your more dominate characters, "like bolder, or more fighting styled" I'd imagen more fun style tails like a gerbil or a dogs. lol
Finally for your lazy characters, maybe a rat tail or leemer(sp?) something that would look cute even dragged around.

those are just some ideas, I'm not sure specifically though.

I'm glad to hear that your arm is getting better. No news is good news.

I don't know about tails, tho. I think that you have you're own niche by NOT including tails into the design.

Maybe tails would help people to understand what sort of animal your characters are supposed to be.

Honestly, I thought your characters were mice the first time I saw them, lol.

I think tails add some sort of uniqueness and attraction but that's just me hehe

When I think of them with tails I think of short dog-like tails that curl and have a lot of fluff, like an akita. Not stubbs though.
